Security breach during Amit Shah’s Bengaluru visit, two bikers detained

BENGALURU:  A major security lapse occurred during Union Minister Amit Shah’s visit to the state on Sunday night. Shah was heading towards HAL airport to take a flight back to New Delhi when two bikers chased the convoy for about 300 metres.
The incident occurred when Amit Shah was on his way from Taj West End Hotel to HAL airport around 11 pm on Sunday after attending the BJP core committee meeting. Suddenly, two unidentified bikers started tailing Shah’s convoy from Safina Plaza to Manipal Centre, a distance of about 300 metres.

The Bharati Nagar police immediately detained the two people near Manipal Centre and questioned them. It is said that both the are students.
During questioning , the two detained students said that they did not tail the convoy intentionally. The police questioned them till late night. An NCR (non-cognizable) case has been registered at Bharati Nagar police station.
