KALABURAGI: In a double tragedy, a girl who was scolded by her older brother to attend college, ended her life by jumping into an open well at Pattapalli in Chincholi taluk. The brother, who attempted to rescue her, also lost his life.
Nandini (18) had been irregular at colelge and her brother Sandeep (21) scolded her and advised her to concentrate on her studies. Upset over this, Nandini ran out of the house and jumped into a well. In a bid to rescue her, Sandeep too jumped in, but both lost their lives.
When the parents went looking for their children, they found some flowers which Nandini had pinned to her hair near the well. After a long search, both the bodies were recovered from the well today. The Chincholi police have registered a case.
