BIDAR: A 14-year-old school student was crushed to death by a lorry which was carrying stones from an illegal quarry, at Nirna village in Chitaguppa taluk on Monday. The deceased was identified as Vinod Atiwal.
The boy was riding his bicycle to buy some stationery when he was crushed to death by the lorry. Following the incident, locals have demanded the authorities concerned to investigate illegal quarrying in the area.
On receiving information, the Mannaekhelli police visited the spot and have taken up investigation.
