MANGALURU: A schoolboy, who had got off a school bus, was knocked down after he tried to cross the road right in front of the bus, near Surathkal three days ago. Luckily, he escaped with minor injuries.
In CCTV footage that is available, the boy can be seen crossing the road near his house in front of the bus when the driver, who had not noticed the boy, moved the mini bus.
The boy came under the bus and another schoolboy and a woman raised walking along the road an alarm following which the driver stopped.
Fortunately, the boy had sustained only minor injuries in the incident. The bus did not have any attendant and this was blamed for the mishap. The Surathkal police have registered a case against the mini bus driver.
