MYSURU: A 1.7-year-old girl died after being run over by a school vehicle at Udyuru village in Hunsur taluk on Monday evening. The accident involved a school vehicle belonging to Shastri Public School.
The mother had collected her 4-year-old son, who had returned home, from the vehicle. At that time, the wheel of the school vehicle ran over 1.7-year-old Latiksha who was nearby, leading to her death on the spot.
A complaint has been registered against vehicle driver Siddaraju (42) for speeding and rash driving. Family members have sought for suitable legal action against the driver and a case has been registered at the Hunsur police station.
