VIJAYAPURA: A newlywed runaway couple has released a video from an undisclosed location asking for police protection for the boy’s parents after learning that they were attacked by the girl’s family and relatives on September 11.
The newlywed married couple, Amar (22) and Archana (24) eloped about a week ago and got married. They released the video on Thursday.
“Archana’s father, brothers and relatives assaulted my parents. We want protection for my parents. We are in love and got married with mutual consent,” Amar says in the video.
“I wanted to marry him, but my parents did not consent to our marriage. That’s why I ran away and got married to him in a temple. My parents are assaulting his parents very badly. My parents will be responsible if something happens to Amar’s parents,” added Archana.
