BENGALURU: In a freak incident, one set of rear wheels of a KSRTC bus, which was moving, came off the axle near Samandur in Anekal taluk on Thursday. Luckily, the passengers were unhurt due to the presence of mind shown by the driver.
The bus (KA 42 F 519), belonging to the Anekal depot, was heading towards Samandur when the tyres slipped fromthe axle and started coming out. The driver stopped the bus before the wheels completely came off the axle. There were about 25 passengers in the bus at that time.
The timely action by the driver prevented a major accident. Passengers vented their anger at the KSRTC officials for running buses which are not in a fit condition and callousness.
