RAICHUR: The district has occupied the top position in the entire country as per the NITI Aayog rankings announced by the All District Programmes (ADP).
The All India Ambitious District Delta Ranking has been announced, and the district has been placed first in the NITI Aayog survey. The district has the top rank for overall performance.
Now, Raichur district is qualified for the special prize of Rs 10 crore. The NITI Aayog has reviewed the actual reports on the conditions of the district, including agriculture, education, infrastructure, health, economic inclusion and skill development. Based on these report, Raichur has been ranked first among the total of 115 aspirational districts in the country.
The district, which was earlier ranked first in education and agriculture, has now been ranked first in overall performance in the survey conducted in June. Additional funding will be received from the Central government and Niti Aayog.
Deputy Commissioner Chandrasekhara Naik hailed the performance of the staff for achieving the top position in the country.
