Man wins Rs 25 lakh in Goa casino, loses Rs 15 lakh to kidnappers

BENGALURU: A tea shop owner won Rs 25 lakh in a casino in Goa, but a group of miscreants kidnapped him, threatened him of life, and forced him to transfer Rs 15 lakh to their accounts, at Hanumanta Nagar in the city.

Tilak Manikantha, who runs a tea shop for livelihood, was crazy about gambling in a casino in Goa. With the money he had, he gambled and won Rs 25 lakh in a casino and returned to Bengaluru a richer man.

However, on coming to know about this, some men kidnapped Manikanta when he was standing near the bakery, threatened him, and robbed him of Rs 15 lakh by forcing him to transfer it to their accounts.

A case has been registered at Hanumanta Nagar police station against Karthik, Pandu, Eshwar, Nishchal and others in this connection and the police lookout for the accused.
