BENGALURU: The PUC-II examination-1 will begin in the state from March 1 and will go on till March 22. From this year, the examinations will be 80+20 marks on the lines of the SSLC examination, including written exam and internals.
From this year, three examinations will be held through the year and students have to compulsorily enroll for them. If a student writes all three exams, the exam in which the student has scored the highest will be considered.
A total of 1,124 examinations have been earmarked and a total of 6,98,624 students will be writing the examination. Of them 3,30,644 are boys and 3,67,980 are girls.
However, the present Congress government is still undecided on the hijab issue and the issue is before the Supreme Court. During the previous BJP government, hijab was not allowed within classrooms and the Karnataka High Court had upheld the uniform rule of the Karnataka government.
