BENGALURU: A case of overspeeding, flagged by City Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy himself, has revealed that the car was bearing the registration number of another vehicle.
When a high end BMW overtook his vehicle at high speed, the police chief took a photograph of the car and asked the traffic police to book the car owner. Much to their shock and surprise, the traffic police found that the registration number (KA 03 MC 7007) actually belonged to a Maruti Omni mini van.
Similarly, the traffic police found a Ford car running with a fake number plate. They have tweeted images of the two cars and requested the public the inform the nearest police station if they spot the vehicles.
Meanwhile, the police are also on the lookout for the owner of the BMW car.
