PFI suspect’s mobiles had app to destroy data, police to send devices to FSL

BENGALURU: The investigation by the police has revealed that the arrested Popular Front of India (PFI) suspects had a common app in their mobile phones called Eye Reader App.

The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Bengaluru police are investigating various angle. The Eye Reader app was found on the mobile phones of all the 15 people who were arrested during the raid last week.

National Intelligence of Agency and Bengaluru police found the Eye Reader app on the phones of the arrested PFI leaders.

The app is not available on Google Play store, but the arrested are suspected to have created the app themselves. The app is believed to help erase all data on the phone in case they come under the scanner of investigating agencies.

The police have seized electronic gadgets liken mobiles and laptops and are interrogating them. The police are planning to inform the court and send the devices to the forensic lab for retrieval of data.
