ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan government stated on Thursday that the price of petroleum products will be increased by Rs 30 per litre with the increase taking place at midnight.

The price of petrol per litre will be ₹179.85, diesel at ₹174.15, kerosene at ₹155.95 and light diesel at ₹148.41.

The announcement was made at a press conference held by Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, a day after talks between the Pakistan government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Qatar failed to agree on an economic bailout, and the IMF staff-level agreement for the revival of the $6 billion programmes came to an end.

Ismail said “New prices will be effective from midnight”. (ANI)
