SHIVAMOGGA: A KSRTC bus passenger, who was travelling with Rs 30 lakh in cash, lost it at the Shivamogga bus stand on Wednesday night. He was carrying the cash for purchasing jewellery.
Gowrish Warnekar of Davanagere had boarded a bus from Davangere bus station to go to Mangaluru to purchase jewellery. When the bus reached Shivamogga bus station, Gowrish got off the bus to call his son and had left behind the bag containing the money in the bus.
When he returned to his seat after the phone call, he could not find the bag as it had been stolen. A case has been registered at Doddapete police station in this connection.
