BENGALURU: More than 400 electric two-wheelers were gutted in a fire which broke out at a yard at NRI Layout on Kalkere Main Road on Tuesday evening. The fire broke out after the yard gate was locked.
The two-wheelers were given on rent to quick commerce delivery agents of Zepto, Swiggy, and Zomato companies on a daily rental basis. Over 400 vehicles reduced to ashes.

Evees Company administrator Harish said, “Around 7 pm, the owner of the place called us. That’s when we came to know that a fire had broken out. We had taken this place on rent to park electric vehicles. We park them here daily after completion of work. We also bring vehicles that have come for service here. This has never happened before. It seems someone did this deliberately. Around 400 vehicles have been gutted in the fire”.
