ORRCA identifies 36 dangerous spots, gives suggestions to BBMP

BENGALURU: The city traffic woes has become the talk at the national level with traffic congestion worsening around IT-BT areas.

Now, the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) has identified 36 dangerous spots in the city and has listed out numerous suggestions including formation of a separate civic corporation alongside the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

The ORRCA has identified 36 dangerous spots including Sun City, Iblur Junction, Spring Field Bellandur Gate Junction, Embassy Park rear gate Junction, Sakra Hospital Road, Bellandur Lake Junction, Yamlur Junction, Marathahalli police station, More Mall junction, Sarjapur Road, Wipro Junction, STP Balagere Junction and Mahadavepura bus stop junction.

The traffic problem is getting worse in Bengaluru with the number of vehicles increasing, especially in and around IT-BT belt such as Electronics City, Whitefield, Varthur and Sarjapur. The traffic jam around Electronics City and Sarjapur has been discussed at the national level for the last three days. Better traffic management is also on the agenda of the ‘Brand Bengaluru’ project and the BBMP has been receiving many suggestions.
