BAGALKOT: A soldier who had come home on leave was stabbed to death by his brother-in-law after a fight with his wife in at Neeralageri village in Badami taluk on Thursday night.

Karisiddappa Kalasad (28), a soldier with the Indian Army, was in love with Vidyasri and the two had got married two years ago. He was posted in Rajasthan and had returned home on leave just 10 days ago. On Thursday night, Karisiddappa had an argument with his wife during dinner following which she called her brother Dharigouda and informed him about the spat.

Angered that his sister was being tormented, Dharigouda, along with Vidyasri, Fakirgouda and Shantavva, brutally murdered Karisiddappa by stabbing him in the chest and neck.

The Kerur police have arrested all the four. Karisiddappa’s body was sent for autopsy and will be handed over to the family.
