The government plans to turn the heritage building which housed the DC's office into a tourist attraction.

MYSURU: Tourism Minister H K Patil has said that the government intends to turn the old Deputy Commissioner’s office, a heritage building, into a tourist attraction.

The minister, who was in Mysuru to conduct a survey of tourist spots, said there is a lot of scope for tourism and that many tourist spots are not known to visitors. Heritage buildings will be restored and opened to tourists, he added.

The minister said he will hold a meeting today and get details about the tourist spots and others which can be developed. “All announcements made in the budget will be implemented”, he added.

On Congress leader B K Harisprasad’s recent remark on making CMs, H K Patil said, “He has named several CMs, but he wouldn’t make such a remark. This is all a creation of the media. I haven’t heard what he spoke and I will react later”, he added.
