KALABURAGI: Close on the heels of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge likening Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a poisonous snake, his son Priyank Kharge on Monday called him a ‘nalayak beta’.
Addressing a press conference at the party office here, Priyank Kharge, while speaking on the reservation issue, said, “When Modi had come to Malkhed, he had assured the Banjara community that their son was sitting in Delhi. But if someone has such a ‘nalayak beta’ (useless son), what can be done? Not just the country, if there is a useless son in a household, it’s difficult to even manage the household”, he said.
However, after the press conference, he claimed that he did not mean to refer to Modi when he made those remarks. “More than personal attacks, I am interested in answers to questions that I have raised”, he said.
