NIA gets information of two accused of Praveen Nettaru murder case

MANGALURU: In connection with the Praveen Nettaru murder case, the NIA officials have got information that two of the accused, Mohammed Sherif and K A Masud, are hiding in Saudi Arabia. The NIA officials are now preparing to arrest them and the Karnataka  government has taken up the issue with the Centre to pursue the matter with the Saudi government.

Recently, the NIA had announced Rs 5 lakh each for sharing any information on Mohammed Sharif (53) from Kodaje in Bantwal taluk and K A Masud (40) from Nekkiladi, who were the members of the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI).
NIA had announced Rs 14 lakhs reward for information on four accused in the murder case of Praveen Nettaru.
There are four more accused involved in the case and the NIA had announced cash reward of Rs 5 lakh each on Mohammed Mustafa from Bellare’s Budumane, Tufail M H of Gaddige in Madikeri, Rs 2 lakh each on Ummar Farooq and Abubakkar Siddique of Sullya. But NIA officials did not get any information.
In a recent development on the Praveen case, NIA got the confirmed information on those four accused and will likely arrest them soon.
