Minimum temperature drops sharply in several parts of Karnataka

BENGALURU: With night temperatures dropping sharply, there has been a rise in cases of people falling ill over the last couple of days. Bengaluru is experiencing very cold weather late in the evening and early morning over the last one week.

On Monday, the minimum temperature dropped to 14.5 degrees Celsius in Bengaluru, while it was 13.4 degrees Celsius. degrees at HAL Airport and 12.4 degrees Celsius at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). Normally, the minimum temperature in January is 16-17 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted severe cold in many parts of the state, including Bengaluru, over the next few days.

As per the forecast, there is a possibility of a further drop in temperature in next two days accompanied by cold wind for the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of more cold temperatures in some parts of northern-interior Karnataka.

In parts of Bagalkot, Raichur, Ballari, Bidar, Belagavi, Gadag and Vijayapura the minimum temperature has witnessed a sharp drop. In the next 24 hours, the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 5-6 degrees in some parts of south-interior and north-interior Karnataka.
