Mentally unstable man kill son by slitting his throat in Mulbagal taluk; arrested

KOLAR: A mentally unstable man brutally killed his son at Nangali village in Mulbagal taluk on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Bhuvan (8) while the accused father is Subramaniam.

Five years ago,  Subramaniam had murdered his wife and was jailed. On Monday afternoon, he fetched his son, who was studying at a private school, and left him to beg near Gaddekannur. Locals got suspicious on seeing the boy begging while wearing a school uniform and reported it to police.

When the police arrived and questioned Bhuvan, he said that he was at his grandmother’s house in Nangali village and that his father had brought him to Gaddekannur. The police called the grandmother and after questioning her, sent Bhuvan back with her. They also told the father  Subramaniam to return to Bengaluru. But he took his son and killed him by slitting his throat at home before his grandmother came to take him back.
Bhuvan was killed by his father Subramaniam on Tuesday. 
Eight years ago, Suma of Kattibisenahalli village in Srinivaspura taluk was married to  Subramaniam of Patrahalli village in Mulbagal taluk. He worked and stayed in Anekal. He was well for five years but lost his mental stability and often behaved strangely at home. Around this time, his wife was found hanging at their house in Anekal house. He was jailed based on a complaint filed by his wife’s relatives.
Following her death, Suma’s relatives took care of Bhuvan and he was brought up there. After coming out of jail,  Subramaniam was given treatment as he had lost his mental stability. Meanwhile, he took Bhuvan from his wife’s relatives house and left him with his mother Subbalakshmi. On Monday night, he killed his son and assaulted his mother too.
A case has been registered at the Nangali police station. The police have arrested him and further investigation is under way.
