MYSURU: An massive blaze broke out at a firecracker store in Hebbal industrial area here on Wednesday afternoon. The massive blaze caused thick smoke to engulf the surroundings and lakhs of rupees worth of firecrackers were destroyed.
Adjacent shops and houses too were damaged and two cars parked outside the store were burnt as firecrackers at Jupiter store continued to go off for about two hours and fire tenders struggled to bring the blaze under control.
It is suspected that the fire was caused by an electric short circuit. The Hebbal police visited the spot and registered a case.
