CHAMARAJANAGAR: A man belonging to the Soliga tribe escaped with serious injuries in a bear attack at Puranipodu forest in Biligirirangana Hills in the district.
Basavaraju of Puranipodu had gone to the forest to collect honey when he was attacked by a bear. He escaped after fighting off the bear, but sustained severe injuries to neck, back, and head.
He has since been admitted to Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) hospital.
