BENGALURU: A man stabbed his wife with a knife on the road at Banaswadi in Bengaluru, as he suspected her character. The police have arrested the accused Diwakar.
The deceased has been identified as Nikhita (28). Diwakar and Nikita fell in love and got married. After marriage, she got fed up with her husband’s excessive liquor consumption and got him admitted to a rehabilitation centre.
However, after returning from the rehabilitation centre, Diwakar started a ruckus at home suspecting Nikita’s character. In CCTV footage, Diwakar and Nikita can be seen riding pillion on a scooter and the two-wheeler tilts. When she fall to the ground, Diwakar repeatedly stabs Nikita and then flees with the rider.
The woman was left lying in a pool of blood and she was later shifted to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital where she is battling for life. A case has been registered at Banaswadi police station.
