BENGALURU: A man who sold 44 goats for Nalapad’s birthday has now lodged a complaint at the V V Puram police station alleging that a ‘close friend’ of state Youth Congress president Mohammed Haris Nalapad had not paid him for the livestock and has demanded justice.
Sharat, a resident of Banaswadi, has a farm in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. Ramachandra, who claimed to be a close friend of Nalapad, purchased 44 goats worth Rs 4.5 lakh from Sharat on the birthday of Nalapad last year. In his complaint, Sharat claimed that Ramachandra has been harassing him by not paying the money since a year and has approached the Police Commissioner.
Sharat claimed that Ramachandra purchased 44 goats for celebrating Nalapad’s birthday, but did not pay its price Rs 4.5 lakh even after a year. “He is now threatening me if I ask him for the money. He is using Nalapad’s influence to close my complaint and I have no one to support me. He also purchased clothes worth Rs 89,000 at my shop in Domlur, but did not pay for that too. I am ready to go to court to get justice”, he said.
As per the complaint, Ramachandra cheated Sharat by promising him that he will help out in getting a contract for a towing vehicle from which he could earn Rs 50,000 every month. Ramachandra is supposed to pay total Rs 7.5 lakh including for some scrap that he had bought, Sharat claimed.
