CHITRADURGA: A young woman has filed a complaint against police sub-inspector who is now posted at the at Tunganagar police station in Shivamogga and was earlier at the Chitradurga Town police station. She has alleged that the police officer had cheated her after promising marriage.
The sub-inspector Gadilingappa had got reportedly got acquainted with the woman through Instagram when he was PSI at Chitradurga Town Police Station. The complainant, a resident of Bengaluru, alleged that the PSI cheated her after promising marriage by forcibly using her for sexual acts. She also alleged that he abused her after taking her to a lodge and house in Chitradurga.
The complaint registered at Chitradurga women’s police station filed under BNS 62, 232, 351(2) & SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The woman declined to give a a statement to the media and requested no publicity as it is a personal matter. She had filed a complaint earlier but withdrawn it.
