MANDYA: A man killed his wife and two young children, including a toddler, by giving them water laced with pesticide and attempted to end his life at Nagamangala in the district. While the wife and children died, he is battling for life in a hospital.
Narasimha, who runs a hair dressing salon, got married to Keerthana (23) five years ago and the couple had two children, Jayasimha (4) and Rishika (1.5). The couple used to regularly have arguments over Narasimha’s alleged illegal affair.
On Thursday afternoon, he got his wife and children to drink water mixed with pesticide and then consumed the same water himself following which all the four fell ill.
While the two children died on the way to hospital, Keerthana died at the Nagamangala taluk hospital without responding to treatment. Narasimha is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The Arekere police have registered a case.
