BENGALURU: Angry that his wife would spend time watching social media reels, a man murdered his wife by smashing her head with a beer bottle and later committed suicide at 4th Cross, Vibhutipura, in HAL police limits on Tuesday night.
Raghavendra and Shruthi had fallen in love and got married and the couple has two children. They had left their children at the grandmother’s house in Davanagere and returned to the city.
On Tuesday night, the couple were alone at home when a quarrel broke out again over Shruthi watching reels. In a fit of anger, Raghavendra killed his wife Shruthi and ended his life by hanging. The HAL police visited spot, registered a case and taken up further investigation.
