HASSAN: Fed up over his son’s alcohol addiction and constant harassment, a man brutally hacked him to death at Kanchamaranhalli village, Hassan taluk on Friday night. The deceased was identified as R Rangaswamy alias Chandan (27).
Chandan was addicted to alcohol and would often demand money from his parents to drink liquor. This led to frequent quarrels between the two. On Friday night, Chandan returned home drunk and quarrelled with his father R Krishne Gowda (52).
Fed up with his son’s behavior, the father allegedly killed him by hacking him with a sharp object while he was asleep. The Hassan Rural police visited the scene and have registered a case after arresting Krishne Gowda.
