BENGALURU: A 38-year-old man and his five-year-old son were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their house at Gudde Basavapura in Chikkabanavara on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Abhinav and his son Yaduveer and prima facie, it is suspected to be a case of murder as injury marks found on the bodies.

The Chikkabanavara police have taken the wife Harini into custody and are interrogating her. Harini was in the next room in the same house, leading to suspicion. The police are also keeping an eye on Harini’s friend’s mobile number.

During questioning, it was revealed that on Sunday night, there was a fight between husband and wife. After the fight, the wife slept in a separate room and husband in another room. But by morning, Abhinandan and Yaduveer were dead. Police have seized both their mobile phones and traced Harini’s friend’s number. It is suspected that Harini herself killed them after the fight.

Abhinandan had married Harini six years ago and Abhinandan came home as usual on Sunday night. But on Monday morning, there was blood from Abhinandan’s ear and Yaduveer, the child, had also died suspiciously next to his father.

Abhinandan’s family members have expressing suspicion on wife Harini. When asked, Harini said there was blood from his ear last night itself and that she had applied turmeric. Earlier too, wife Harini had run away from home and stayed elsewhere for three months. Abhinandan’s parents suspect that the wife herself is responsible for the murder. Further investigation is under way.

“There were blood stains in the corridor and we have to verify if it is blood. The CCTV camera was also switched off. There were minor injuries on Abhinandan’s face and we are investigating the case from all angles. He was working with a private company and had done his diploma in electrical engineering. There used to be disputes of late between the couple”, the DCP said.
