MYSURU: A man was arrested after he deliberately drove his car over three people for a trivial reason at T K Layout in the city on Tuesday.
Darshan, a resident of Vontikoppal, was travelling with his parents on Sunday night. Anand, Rahul and Prajwal, residents of TK Layout, were in another car. The two groups got into a verbal spat over the manner in which one of the cars was being driven and a fight erupted. Immediately, Darshan got out of his car and attacked the three men. They were lying on the road when Darshan’s parents asked him to drive away. While doing so, he ran the car over the three, leaving them seriously injured. They were later admitted to a private hospital in the city.
A case has been registered at the Saraswathipuram police station. The police registered an FIR against Darshan and arrested him.
“On Sunday, my son and his friends had gone to a function. His friend had called him to hand over a set of keys to someone else. Prajwal signalled with his hand instead of using an indicator that led to verbal dispute and later into a physical fight. The occupants of the other deliberately did this over a trivial reason. When we went to the police station, they did not take our complaint. My son is in a serious condition”, said Prajwal’s father Nagaraj.
