MADIKERI: A car overturned after hitting electricity poles affixed with a transformer on Mugutageri main road between Ponnampet and Kanur. The accident occurred as the driver lost control of the car.
The car, which was at high speed, suddenly swerved left, hit the electricity poles on which a transformer was installed, and overturned. The car driver escaped unhurt.
A huge disaster was averted as power supply was cut off immediately after the accident. A case has been registered at the Gonikoppa Rural police station regarding the incident.
