TUMAKUR: Two people were killed in an accident on Sunday night after a two-wheeler collided with a private bus at Bannimaradakatte near Kunigal taluk.
The deceased have been identified as Tirumalegowda (50) and his daughter Chandana (20). They hailed from Nettikere village in Gubbi taluk and were residing in Sunkadakatte in Bengaluru.
On Sunday night, Tirumalegowda and his daughter Chandana were travelling from their hometown, Nettigere village to Bengaluru after a local festival. A private bus travelling from Kunigal to Tumakuru collided with the two-wheeler and Tirumalegowda died on the spot. Chanda was seriously injured and was immediately shifted to Kunigal Town Government Hospital where she was given preliminary treatment. However, she died on the way while being shifted to a Tumakuru Hospital.
The incident occurred in Hebbur police station limits and the police inspected the spot.
