BALLARI: The cyber crime police have arrested a man from Chamarajanagar who tried to cheat a Ballari resident of Rs 5,64,600 by promising a building contract. The police have also seized the money.
Kumar (31) had got Obalesh to transfer the money online after promising him a contract. However, after receiving the funds, he had switched off his mobile phone. Following this, a case was registered at the cyber crime police station.
The accused was arrested based on techincal evidence and the police are investigating if Kumar had cheated other people too.
