DAVANAGERE: The police have arrested the main accused in a case where people were cheated after being lured with the promise of high returns. The arrested accused is Chellapandi Subramani (42) from Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Subramani had cheated hundreds of women and men in Davanagere with high promise of high returns if they invest in a crypto currency app. He would tell people that if Rs 10,000 is invested, they could earn Rs 300-400 daily. The accused cheated people by using locals.
A complaint was filed at the CEN police station in this regard. Based on the complaint, Subramani was arrested and produced before a court which remanded him to judicial custody.
