Major fire in plastic godown destroys articles worth lakhs

BENGALURU: A major fire broke out at a plastic godown in Nayandanahalli near the Vrushabhavathi river on Thursday morning. Thick smoke had engulfed the entire area as tons of scrap plastic was stored in the godown and the fire spread easily.

Firefighters struggled to douse the flames. The plastic godown belongs to one Kanda who is a native of Tamil Nadu. Kanda’s son Ashok had died at their hometown in Tamil Nadu around 5 am on Thursday and Kanda had left for Tamil Nadu when the fire broke out in the godown around 8 am.
