MANDYA: Some locals have turned a stretch of the Bengaluru-Mysuru National Highway-75 into a race track with horse carts galloping from Bellur Cross in Nagamangala taluk to Kadaballi toll plaza on Sunday evening.
It is alleged that horse cart races are conducted with wages of lakhs of rupees without any regard for the police. A huge number of motorcycles were also seen barging in along with the horse carts.
The owners of the horse carts started people in abusive language for questioning them. Due to this, vehicle riders are suffering. The incident has led to much public outrage against those who conducted horse cart race.
