BIDAR: Basavakalyan BJP MLA Sharanu Salagar has fallen foul of his own partymen and Hindu groups after declaring that DJ music will play all night at an Urus event. He even danced with the crowd and dared the police to file a case against him.

Playing of loud music at night has been banned by the Supreme Court. Recently, the state govenment too came out with guidelines on regulating noise levels of loudspeakers at places of worship.

Participating in the Urus at a dargah on Wednesday night, Salagar declared to the crowd from the stage that they can have DJ music all through the night and that even he would join them in dancing. He also said that the police could file a case against him.

Reacting to this, Sri Ram Sene state president Siddalinga Swami said, “Sharanu Salagar’s actions and words makes one wonder whether he is a BJP MLA or an AIMIM leader. He has even disregarded the Supreme Court orders and the directives of the state government.”
