TUMAKURU: A leopard, which had attacked a young girl when she was playing in their house compound two days ago at Chikkabellavi, has been caught by the Forest Department.
Following the incident, the villagers had requested the Forest officials to nab the leopard. Accordingly, a cage was placed near a poultry farm outside the village.
On Satuday morning, the leopard, about 3-4 years old, got trapped in the cage. The leopard had created havoc in Bellavi and surrounding villages.
