Leopard gets caught in wire trap, dies

KOLAR: A leopard died after it got caught in a wire trap set up to catch pigs, near Chikkadanavalli village in Malur taluk on Thursday night. This is the second such incident in the district within a week.

A team of 10 Forest Department personnel arrived from Bengaluru and freed the animal from the wire trap. They even tried to resucitate the leopard, but it had died by then.
