Lalbagh sees 1.2 lakh visitors for flower show on Sunday

BENGALURU: The Independence Day flower show at Lalbagh, which was inaugurated on August 6, witnessed huge crowds over the weekend. Despite the rain on Sunday, a sea of people visited Lalbagh and 1.2 lakh people witnessed the flower show.

The history of the Gangas has been brought alive in flowers at the 220th Lalbagh Flower Show organised as part of Independence Day celebrations. Amidst the huge rush, chaotic scenes were witnessed at Lalbagh on Sunday sparking public outrage.

Due to a little rain, the entire Lalbagh flower show turned into a muddy mess. “We pay and go with expensive tickets. But even basic facilities have not been provided”, people expressed anger. People couldn’t even walk and ended up slipping.

The flower show is on till August 17.
