BELAGAVI: In an unusual case from neighbouring Kolhapur in Maharashtra, a newly-wed couple was taken in a procession seated on a water tanker! Yes, you read that right!
Fed up with the drinking water problem in the city, the groom had sought a water tanker as a wedding gift from his father-in-law. After the wedding, the newly-weds Vishal and Aparna were taken in a procession seated on top of the water tanker on which was written ‘no honeymoon till water problem is solved’.
The move is being seen as a protest against the Kolhapur municipal administration’s failure to ensure proper water supply at Mangalwarpet since the last six months.
