BENGALURU: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has written to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) seeking to sell its Nandini products through the soon-to-be relaunched Indira Canteens.
The milk cooperative feels it can attract more customers by such a move. Palike chief commissioner Tushar Giri Nath said they will discuss the proposal before taking a decision on it.
On the issue of stray dogs, he said the menace has increased and the BBMP has been locating them. There is also a need to increase the number of kennels and budgetary provision has been made for the Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme for the sterilisation and immunisation of the stray dogs.
He added that only recognised organisations can carry out sterilisation and the Psalike also plans to survey different national organisations.
