‘Kiccha’ Sudeep, Nadda, others in tow, CM holds massive roadshow in Shiggaon

HAVERI: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Wednesday held a massive roadshow in his constituency Shiggaon ahead of filing his nomination papers officially for the May 10 Assembly election. The CM was accompanied by popular actor ‘Kiccha’ Sudeep, BJP national president J P Nadda, minister Govind Karjol among others.

With over 30,000 people participating in the roadshow, the police have deployed additional personnel. The entire town has been painted saffron for the occasion. The roadshow began from the market ground and passed through the main streets before the CM submits his nomination papers. A massive garland of oranges and flowers was offered to the CM at Chennamma Circle.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, actor Kiccha Sudeep and BJP president J P Nadda garlanded the statue of Rani Chennamma.

‘Kiccha’ Sudeep arrived from Hubballi by helicopter and joined the CM for the roadshow. Later, a huge rally was held at the taluk stadium on Shiggaon where arrangements were made for thousands of participants. After the rally, the CM officially submitted his nomination papers at the taluk office.
