Karnataka state president of Hindu Mahasabha arrested for blackmail

MANGALURU: The Karnataka state president of the Hindu Mahasabha was arrested by Mangaluru police on Thursday for allegedly blackmailing a business partner in the city. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Pavitran (42).

Suresh and Rajesh were business partners in trading. They had a dispute over their financial transactions and the accused forcefully took away a laptop belonging to Suresh and allegedly threatened him that he would leak his private information on social media.

Rajesh Pavitran, state president of the Hindu Mahasabha, was arrested on Thursday.

A case has also been registered at Surathkal police station against Dr Sanija who has been accused of helping Rajesh.
