UDUPI: The father of Karkala BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar, senior RSS leader and retired principal, M K Vasudev (87), passed away on Thursday due to age-related illnesses.
Vasudev had been undergoing treatment at the KMC and TMA Pai hospital in Manipal for some time. He is survived by his wife Pramoda, son Sunil Kumar, daughter-in-law Priyanka and daughter Sukanya.
Vasudev, who worked as a teacher, held various positions in the RSS, going to become a sanghchalak. The last rites were conducted later on Thursday.
