‘Kantara’ team seeks blessing of Panjurli Daiva for movie sequel

The Kantara team was in Mangaluru to seek the blessings of the Annappa Panjurli Daiva.

BENGALURU: After the mega success of the movie ‘Kantara’, directed by Rishab Shetty, who also played the lead role of Shiva, the entire team landed in Mangaluru on Thursday for thanksgiving, seek the blessings of the Annappa Panjurli Daiva and to fulfill vows.

Rishab Shetty and other members of the team took part in the rituals.

As fans are waiting with bated breath for the sequel to ‘Kantara’, the movie team, including producer Vijay Kiragandur, participated in the Daiva Kola hosted by the Madivala family of Bandale, Pacchanadi, to fulfil vows and to seek permission from the Davia for the sequel.

The Panjurli Daiva is said to have granted permission with certain suggestions and warnings that the same cast should be retained.

The Daiva Kola was held in the presence of Kadri Manjunatheshwara temple head priest Krishna Adiga. Rishab Shetty’s family too participated in the Daiva Kola.
