BENGALURU: A popular Kannada film and TV serial director committed suicide at his residence in Nagarabhavi on Saturday. The reason behind the extreme step is not yet known.
The deceased is identified as Vinod Dondale and his body has been shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem. Vinod was trained by renowned Indian film and serial director P Sheshadri and T N Seetharam.
He was busy with the shooting of the film ‘Ashoka Blade’, starring actor Neenasam Satish. Vinod had worked in both serial and film industries. He had discussed the shooting with Satish and the producers recently, and the climax part of the film ‘Ashoka Blade’ remains pending.
Vinod had also directed several serials including ‘Nannarasi Radhe’, ‘Karimani’, and others. He is survived by his wife and three children.
