BENGALURU: Allegations of irregularities have now surface in the Ganga Kalyana scheme and complaints have been filed with the Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka and also to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as well.
The complainant Arun Parameshwar has alleged irregularities in the borewell drilling tender called by the Devaraj Urs Corporation. He has alleged irregularities in the purchase of pipes in the tender.

Speaking to Public TV, Arun Parameshwar said, “I have already lodged a complaint with the chief secretary regarding the irregularities in the Devaraj Urs Corporation and it has been forwarded to the corporation commissioner. There are irregularities to the tune of over Rs 25 crore in the Ganga Kalyana scheme and the sewing machine distribution scheme”.

Further, he said, “When I raised questions with the officials, they point towards the previous minister and say that the tender was awarded in a hurry. I have also written to Supreme Court and High Court judges and also lodged a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate”.
“The tender for drilling borewells and fixing pumps and also for supply of sewing machines was awarded to a metal fabricator. The managing director, the past and present minister should be held culpable for this scam which may be bigger than the Valmiki Corporation scam”, he added.
